ABOUT ME:
I view psychotherapy as a collaborative conversation where something genuine and unexpected can emerge. The space we create together is open and deeply respectful of your unique experiences and the ways you express them. My approach is psychodynamic and depth-oriented, which simply means we look beneath the surface to understand the forces shaping your life.
I work with teens, adults, couples, and those who feel a bit out of step with familiar labels—whether that’s the overthinking creative, the self-identified “geek” or lifelong gamer, the person who keeps hearing they should “open up” but isn’t sure how, or those feeling stuck or dealing with existential questions.
The issues we meet often include anxiety, depression, grief, shame, relationship struggles, life transitions, creative blocks, identity and intimacy concerns, vulnerability, and the general restlessness of trying to live a meaningful life in a complicated world.
If your concern isn’t on that list, it still belongs. The work starts wherever you are.
BACKGROUND
I am an LPCC Candidate currently completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I hold a B.A. in Philosophy and Cultural Studies from the University of Minnesota and am a PhD candidate in philosophy. I am endlessly curious about ideas, how things work, and people’s stories.
Outside the office, you’ll often find me exploring - on foot or by kayak - writing, listening to or making music, building instruments, or reading. If you’d like to learn more about working together, please contact me.
